Layering is key in Europe and America, not only because it can be highly stylish but because it helps to keep you warm. By way of a contrast, in Singapore, we try to avoid layering our clothes.
No, it isn't that I've been invited to attend an event during fashion week. It's just that I've been promising Gorgeous Husband that I'll take him to Paris some day ever since we first met in 2006, and it's booked already. Yay!
Meanwhile...
I might not have lasted very long as an education officer with Singapore's Ministry of Education, but I did at least stick it out for long enough to suss out the dress code.
First off, let me confess the real reason why I arrived twenty minutes late for a lunch appointment with my gal pal Kathy. Five minutes of lateness really were due to having taken a wrong turn off Bukit Timah. The other fifteen were the due to my wanting to test drive an all new item of magic underwear that I only just bought.
OK. So one of the many things I promised myself I would take a look at is whether or not I really need to add a patterned pencil skirt to my wardrobe in order to remain current this year, and the bad news as far as my bank balance is concerned is that it's looking a lot as if I probably should succumb.
I was trying to produce a post from my list, honestly I was, and then I got distracted by this funky ap that lets you play fashion editor, or at least up to a point.
Gorgeous Husband has suggested a good way to begin a blog might be to prepare a list of 50 topics I feel confident would make reasonably interesting postings. Doing this might also help me to figure out what the main thrust of this blog is supposed to be, so here goes:
